Warranty Information

The following guarantee applies if you are deemed a “consumer” in compliance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

If there is a defect in your Trade Furniture Outlet product that appears within the first 12 months we will do the following:

1. If our product has a minor defect ie fails to be of an acceptable quality – (not a major failure)  we will repair it or offer you a replacement (if available) (option at our discretion).
2. If the product has a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement (if available) OR refund OR keep the products and receive compensation due to the inconvenience.

For all Warranty claims the customer will bear the transportation costs to and from our store/factory/warehouse, costs of removal, or re-installation of product, or any incidental or consequential damages, incurred in the claim process.

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, this Warranty does not apply to any products sold as seconds, floorstock, repaired products, or products that have a defect where this has been drawn to the customer’s attention before the purchase of the product or stated on the sales invoice.

The purchaser must supply their original invoice as proof of purchase.  They must be the original purchaser at the original delivery address.  This warranty is non-transferable.

Where styles and colours have been discontinued over time, Trade Furniture Outlet reserves the right to substitute warrantied products with the nearest colour or style of equivalent value.  Every effort will be made to match your current style and colour.

Each piece of furniture sold by us is subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s limited warranty.

Warranty Exclusions:

Fabric, vinyl and leather coverings as well and (suspension if not a sofabed), cushioning and fillings will show signs of wear and tear with use. Normal wear and tear is not covered. Foam and fillings will soften and form to the shape of the user over time. Depending on the covering and the amount of use, the covering materials, cushion fillings and suspension (if not a sofabed) may need to be replaced periodically at the purchaser’s expense.
The Warranty does not cover rips, weaving, pilling, creasing or fading of fabric or vinyl or leather.
This Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or improper cleaning, normal wear and tear, damage from insects, pets, or exposure to salt air.
